Anglès is a town with a long history and heritage
that dates back to 30,000 years ago!

The Romans’ footprint

The only existing proof of the Romans’ presence in Anglès is a small set of ceramic fragments collected near the castle. However, we know that the River Ter was an important communication channel that joined the inland plain to the coast. On the other side of the river, in Sant Julià del Llor, are the ruins of a rural villa built in the first century CE called Les Cavorques.
